There are three types of lighting to consider when planning your kitchen – Ambient, Task and Accent.
Ambient lighting provides general background light, usually from ceiling fixtures. Task lighting focuses on work zones, adding concealed LED strip lights to the base of over cupboards will eliminate shadows. Accent lighting adds depth and visual interest, think about how you would like the kitchen to look after hours.
By considering all three types of lighting the space will function and feel balanced, fine cabinetry texture and details will come to life.
